Sambal Dabu-dabu tidak menggunakan serai dan menggunakan tomat yang dipotong-potong, sedangkan Sambal Matah dari Bali ini menggunakan serai dan tidak menggunakan tomat. - Prepare 5 buah of cabai rawit setan.
- Prepare 4 siung of bawang merah.
- It's 2 lembar of daun jeruk.
- You need 1 batang of serai.
- It's Secukupnya of perasan jeruk nipis.
- It's Sejumput of / secukupnya garam.
- You need 4 sendok makan of minyak goreng.

- Iris iris cabai, bawang merah dan daun jeruk. Daun jeruk terlebih dahulu buang tulang daun yang di tengah-tengah.
- Untuk batang serai yang digunakan adalah bagian yang putih saja. Buang lapisan paling luar batang serai, dan buang bagian ujung akar serai, lalu iris tipis tipis.
- Pada mangkuk, campurkan cabai, bawang merah, daun jeruk, dan serai yang sudah diiris iris. Tambahkan perasan jeruk nipis dan garam secukupnya.
- Panaskan minyak goreng, lalu tuang ke mangkuk tadi. Aduk aduk.
- Siap dinikmati!.
